Stage lighting runs hotter and harder than any room you dress in. A colour that reads as deep navy at home can read as flat black under 5600K, and a fabric with any sheen at all will find the one angle that turns it to glare.
Three mistakes
Cloth with a sheen. Colours too close to the backdrop. And a shirt that fits well standing still but pulls the moment an arm goes up towards the screen.
